Arsenal keeping tabs on Hungarian midfielder
Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai ahead of a potential move for his services in January.
The Gunners were on the hunt for a new creative midfielder in the transfer window, but they were unable to sign one before the international deadline.
Obviously, Houssem Aouar was the prime target, but they could not finalise an agreement with Lyon after they refused to meet the £50m price tag.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the north London side could return for Aouar in January, but they could face stiff competition from the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Hence, they have an alternative target in the form of Szoboszlai, who contributed directly to 30 goals from just 40 appearances for Salzburg last season.
He has continued the current campaign in fine form with three goals and three assists from six outings and the Gunners could come up with an approach to sign him at the turn of the year.
