Eriksson expects Dunne deal
Eriksson expects Dunne deal
Man City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed he fully expects captain Richard Dunne to sign a new deal despite interest from Newcastle in signing the defender.
"I am quite sure it will be sorted out, when I don't know," said Eriksson. "He has become a special, special player for the club.
"He has been the best player for the club for the last couple of years, he was Ireland player of the year this year.
"He has not promised anything, he is 28 and when you come up to this stage of your career, you might only sign one or two more contracts. Of course you want a long one and you want a certain sum of money. He won't sign too many more contracts."
