Lampard confirms Kepa's absence through injury

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Kepa Arrizabalaga won't be available for selection for Saturday's Premier League trip to Manchester United.

The Spaniard has struggled for form in goal over the past year and he has recently been displaced by new signing Edouard Mendy for the number one role.

Ahead of tomorrow's clash at Old Trafford, Lampard provided an injury update on the team and revealed that Kepa won't be available after sustaining a shoulder problem.

He added that he does not have any other fresh injury concerns to worry about. Billy Gilmour is the only other absentee, but he is close to making his comeback after a long-term knee injury.

The Blues are presently eighth in the standings with as many points. They are scheduled to face United on the road and they can anticipate a tough challenge on their hands.

The west London giants met United on four occasions last term, but they were on the winning side on just one instance. That moment came during the 3-1 win in the FA Cup semi-final.
