Origi to leave Liverpool in January?

Divock Origi could pursue a temporary move away from Liverpool in January as he is desperate to make the Euro 2020 squad with Belgium next summer.

Origi has made only three appearances for the Reds since the start of the current season and only one of those have come in the Premier League.

The arrival of Diogo Jota has meant that he has fallen further down the pecking order and Liverpool Echo claims that he may leave Anfield in January.

It is added that a loan move could be a possibility with the forward desperate for playing time during the second half of the season such that he can be part of the European Championships.

Origi has been with the Premier League holders since the summer of 2014. He has made 143 appearances across all competitions, scoring 35 goals in the process.

He still has more than three years remaining on his contract signed at the end of the 2018/19 season. It remains to be seen whether the Reds will permit his exit at the midway stage of the campaign.
