Frank Lampard updates on Christian Pulisic's injury
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that Christian Pulisic only suffered a minor hamstring injury in the lead-up to the Burnley game last weekend.
The USA international sustained the problem in the warm-up for the Clarets game and that saw him removed from the starting lineup.
Lampard had initially suggested that the attacker could be out of action for a few weeks, but he has now hinted that Pulisic could be fit for the weekend's league clash against Sheffield United.
"Christian had a scan yesterday, which showed a very minor injury to his hamstring. It’s very minor, which is good, and he’s already back outside. He won’t be fit for tomorrow’s game but we will see after that," He told via Chelseafc.com.
The west London giants are scheduled to host Rennes in the third matchday of the Champions League. They have already accumulated four points and could put themselves in a strong position to finish in the top two with a win on Wednesday.
