Manchester United target desperate for Premier League return
Manchester United target David Brooks has said that he is desperate to return to the Premier League following Bournemouth's relegation to the second tier last season.
The Scotland international was impressive during his debut campaign in the Premier League between 2018 and 2019 where he bagged seven goals and five assists from 31 appearances.
However, he could not make a notable impact last term after spending a major part of the season on the sidelines with a serious knee injury. He failed to register a goal or an assist from his nine appearances.
Speaking to Bournemouth Daily Echo, Brooks has now said that he is keen on returning to the top-flight and he is hopeful of doing so with the Cherries this term.
"Being in the Premier League...I had a full season and then got injured. From my point of view, it was cut a bit short for myself," He told.
"I was disappointed I couldn't really factor in last year, so I am desperate to get back in the Premier League and hopefully it's with Bournemouth."
Manchester United and Leicester City were linked with his services during the recent summer transfer window, but neither made an approach to sign him.
The Cherries wanted £50m to part ways with their prized asset and it remains to be seen whether any Premier League side will move for him in January.
