Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are reportedly monitoring the situation of Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard.

Lingard has fallen out-of-favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January.

In the current season, he has been restricted to only two appearances which have both come in the Carabao Cup.

According to TEAMtalk, the England international could look to explore a fresh challenge next month with the lack of game time.

His current deal expires at the end of June next year, but United are bound to trigger a 12-month extension clause to preserve his transfer value.

Both Celtic and Rangers are keen on luring him to the Scottish Premiership, but it is unclear whether they can afford his services.

United are deemed to be looking for around £25m to part ways with Lingard despite the fact that he has barely played since February.

He recently returned to the matchday squad after going through a period of isolation for being in contact with someone, who was COVID-19 positive.
