Frank Lampard updates on Ziyech's injury

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has revealed that Hakim Ziyech picked up a hamstring injury during the club's 3-1 Premier League win over Leeds United.

Ziyech has recently become an integral part of the Blues lineup in the Premier League, but he lasted only 30 minutes against the Peacocks on Saturday.

Speaking after the game, Lampard confirmed that Ziyech had suffered a hamstring injury which will be further assessed to know the severity.

"It is a hamstring injury which we will find out the severity of in the next couple of days. It is obviously a disappointment going into this busy period,” He told.

Ziyech started the season on the sidelines with a knee problem and he had to wait for more than five weeks before being handed his debut.

He has fared decently with two goals and three assists from 12 outings, but could be out for the rest of the year with the latest setback.

The Blues, however, have the right-wing position well covered with Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi available in reserve.
