Frank Lampard provides fitness update on Christian Pulisic ahead of Wolves clash
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has provided a fresh fitness update on Christian Pulisic ahead of the Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night.
The USA international has been sidelined with a minor hamstring injury for the past two games against Rennes and Everton, but he has been deemed fit to make the travelling squad.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference, Lampard confirmed that Pulisic has overcome his muscular concern, but he can't tell whether the forward will make the starting lineup or not.
He told via Chelseafc.com: "He trained on the day we played against Everton and felt better. He’s in the squad tomorrow and it’s yet to be decided whether he starts or not. It’s obviously positive news from the weekend."
The Blues recently saw their nine-match unbeaten streak end with a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Everton. The result has dropped them to fifth in the league standings, but they are still only three points adrift of the top.
