William Saliba keen on loan move, but Arsenal have objections
French defender William Saliba is reportedly keen on joining a club on loan next month after struggling to break into the first-team plans at Arsenal.
Saliba was fancied to feature for the Gunners after his loan return from Saint-Etienne in the summer, but he has yet to make a competitive appearance.
According to The Mirror, the north London side are prepared to sanction his temporary departure for the second half of the season.
However, they are reluctant to loan him to a fellow Premier League side, who are doing better than them at the current point of the campaign.
The Gunners are currently 15th in the league standings, having picked up just 14 points from their 14 matches this term.
At present, only Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley, Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United are below them in the standings.
The Cottagers were linked with a loan deal for Saliba earlier in the summer and they could make an approach at the turn of the year.
