Liverpool make Xherdan Shaqiri transfer decision

Xherdan Shaqiri news

Shaqiri set for Liverpool stay until summer

Liverpool have reportedly accepted that they won't be able to offload Xherdan Shaqiri during the current transfer window.

The Swiss has barely featured for the Reds over the past year and he has started only two matches in all competitions this term.

Hence, he has been linked with a possible exit, but Swiss outlet 4-4-2.ch claims that there are no clubs willing to meet the asking price for Shaqiri.

The Merseyside outfit are looking for around £20m to part ways with Shaqiri and that seems unlikely to happen midway through the season.

Shaqiri recently played 33 minutes of the 1-0 defeat at Southampton and he could see more playing time during the backend of the campaign.

The Reds have been hampered with injuries to key players, but Jurgen Klopp has hinted that the club won't make any new signings this month.

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League ahead of Manchester United on goal difference, but have played a game more.
