Julian Brandt news

Arsenal yet to make contact for Brandt

Sport1's chief reporter Patrick Berger has revealed that Arsenal have yet to make any contact with Borussia Dortmund for Julian Brandt.

The north London giants are on the search for a creative midfielder this month and they have been linked with multiple players.

Brandt has been one of those linked with the club, but Sport1 reporter Berger says there has been no contact for his services.

Furthermore, he added that Brandt is focused on continuing with Dortmund despite his struggles for regular starts this term.

"So far there's been no negotiations, no contact at all from Arsenal for Julian Brandt. The player is totally 100 percent focused on playing for Dortmund and wants to bite through the difficult situation," He told.

The Gunners have also been associated with a move for Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia, who has bagged seven goals and seven assists this season.

The main stumbling block remains the £40m price tag for the Argentine. The Canaries are currently eyeing promotion from the Championship at the first time of asking and won't sell Buendia for anything less.
