Liverpool make David Alaba transfer decision
Liverpool have reportedly decided against a move for David Alaba, whose contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season.
The Austrian has spent his entire career with the Bavarian giants where he has made over 400 appearances in all competitions.
However, he has been tipped to leave the club on a free transfer after a complete breakdown in the contract talks.
Alaba has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, but The Independent claims that the Reds have reservations over him.
The club are on the search for a new centre-back, who is strong aerially and don't believe Alaba fits the profile with his height of 175cm.
Elsewhere, his wage demands of more than £300,000-a-week is another stumbling block and Real Madrid are now deemed favourites to sign him.
Alaba was previously on the radar of Barcelona, but they are reluctant to make a move with the financial constraints in recent months.
