Bruce may net £2m survival bonus
Steve Bruce will net a £2 million bonus if Wigan Athletic survive in the Premiership. Bruce has managed to admirably keep the Latics in the Premiership and he is set to land the massive financial reward.
Bruce was noticeably delighted after seeing his Wigan side pick up the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - and the reason was quite possibly because of his potential windfall.
Apparently, Wigan chairman Dave Whelan will be set to pay out up to £3.5 million in bonuses if Wigan stay in the Premiership; but that doesn't compare to the potential £35 million that Wigan will stand to gain from surviving in the top flight for another year.
