Real Madrid open to selling £70m defender to Manchester United
Real Madrid are prepared to sanction the sale of Raphael Varane to Manchester United this summer, if their asking price is met.
The Frenchman has been with Los Blancos for nearly a decade and has established himself as one of the world's best centre-backs.
However, he could be on the move in the next transfer window amid his reluctance to sign a new contract beyond June 2022.
According to The Mirror, Los Blancos will consider the sale of Varane if they are unable to renew his deal by the summer.
United are known to be long-term admirers of Varane from his time at Lens and it is claimed that Los Blancos are open to doing business with them.
Varane is valued at around £70m and it is claimed that United won't hesitate at the opportunity to land the 2018 World Cup winner.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have also been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old, who has made 351 appearances for Los Blancos.
