Man United want Erling Haaland

Manchester United will reportedly prioritise a move for Erling Haaland when the transfer window reopens during the summer.

The Red Devils are currently lying in the second spot on the league table, but they are 14 points adrift of runaway leaders Manchester City.

According to Manchester Evening News, the club's hierarchy realise the requirement for a new striker to become title challengers.

It is added that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has earmarked Haaland as the priority and the club are hopeful of luring him from Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City are also interested in the 20-year-old, but United believe Solskjaer's close relationship with Haaland may work in their favour.

Haaland worked under Solskjaer at former club Molde and the Red Devils boss recently said that he is in regular contact with the marksman.

Haaland has been in stunning form for the Bundesliga heavyweights and he has bagged 31 goals from just 30 games in all competitions this term.
