Borussia Dortmund defender dreams of Manchester United move
Borussia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji is reportedly tempted by the prospect of joining Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
The Swiss is one of the players on the Red Devils radar with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting a new centre-back partner for Harry Maguire.
According to Bild, Akanji is aware of the interest from United and he dreams of making the switch to Old Trafford this summer.
However, he is not the first-choice target. The club may prioritise Sevilla's Jules Kounde and Villarreal's Pau Torres ahead of him.
Meanwhile, Leicester City's Caglar Soyuncu is another option being considered by Solskjaer owing to his Premier League experience.
Soyuncu has been a regular at the heart of the defence for the Foxes ever since Maguire made the switch (2019) to the Red Devils.
United recently bowed out of the FA Cup at the quarter-final stage. They will need to win the Europa League to end a four-year trophy drought.
