Liverpool keeping tabs on Real Madrid defender
Liverpool are reportedly monitoring the contract situation of Real Madrid defender Nacho.
The 31-year-old has made 20 appearances for Los Blancos this term and he has played each of the previous eight La Liga matches.
Despite this, his future remains uncertain with his contract expiring in June 2022, and the Reds are reportedly monitoring him.
While Nacho would prefer to extend his Madrid stay, it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp's side are pondering over an approach.
Nacho is capable of playing anywhere in the defence and his versatility may be a reason behind the Reds' transfer interest.
Aside from the Premier League champions, Juventus and AS Roma are also keeping tabs on the 22-cap Spain international.
The Reds are unlikely to spend big during the summer transfer window and will seek to recoup funds from player sales first.
The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino have been tipped to head through the exit door this summer.
