Manchester United moving to sign Barcelona contract rebel

Manchester United are reportedly making progress over a summer deal for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

The Frenchman is currently in his fourth season with the Catalan giants, but has made just over 100 appearances.

Injuries have hampered his progress over the past few years, but he has stayed unscathed for the vast part of this season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United have been impressed by his progress this term, and they are seriously interested in a summer move.

Dembele's current deal with the Blaugrana expires in June 2022, and the club could be compelled to sell him, if there is no renewal in place.

The Red Devils were interested in signing Dembele on loan with the option to buy last summer, but a deal failed to materialise.

Aside from United, Juventus are serious contenders to sign the former Borussia Dortmund man, who is valued at £50m.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the situation, and have yet to make contact with the player's representatives.
