Cavani wants Manchester United exit

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has revealed his desire to pursue a new challenge when his contract expires this summer.

The Uruguayan joined the club on a free transfer last summer, and he has impressed with 10 goals across all competitions.

He has recently excelled with goals in three successive games, but his future with the Red Devils remains uncertain.

According to Doble Amarilla, Cavani is keen on returning to South America to stay closer with his dear ones.

United have the option to extend his contract for another year, but the striker has made the intention clear to leave.

The decision has nothing to do with the formation of the European Super League which has received criticism from fans.

United are among 12 clubs, who have signed up for the breakaway European league, but it is unclear whether it will materialise.

Cavani was only a substitute in the 3-1 win over Burnley on Sunday where he scored in the dying seconds of stoppage time.
