Manchester United to miss out on Raphael Varane?
Manchester United could be priced out of a potential deal for Raphael Varane this summer.
The Frenchman has only 13 months remaining on his Real Madrid contract, and he has reportedly snubbed a new deal.
A number of elite clubs have been linked with him, and a decision could be made following the European Championships.
According to Manchester Evening News, United are keen on signing a new centre-back, but they are reluctant to spend big.
The club have their sights on landing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, who could cost around £80m.
They are also interested in a new marksman to bolster the squad. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked.
Kane is valued at a staggering £150m. If United were to sign him alongside Sancho, they could be low on funds for a defender.
Los Blancos are said to demand around £60m for Varane. United are reluctant to pursue his services unless the price tag is lowered.
