Chelsea, Manchester United enquire about Bayer Leverkusen defender

Chelsea and Manchester United have made contact with Bayer Leverkusen over the availability of defender Edmond Tapsoba.
The 22-year-old had an impressive 2020-21 campaign for the Bundesliga outfit, making 39 appearances in all competitions.
Arsenal were recently credited with an interest in the centre-back, but it appears that their rivals are also keeping a close eye on the player.
According to German outlet Bild, Chelsea and Manchester United have enquired about the Burkina Faso man as they eye reinforcements in central defence.
Tapsoba won't come on the cheap, however, with more than five years remaining on his contract with the German outfit.
There is reportedly a £60m release clause on his contract, and Leverkusen may not sell him for anything less this summer.
Both clubs have also been credited with an interest in Sevilla's Jules Kounde, who has hinted that he could pursue a fresh challenge.
Similar to Tapsoba, there is a £69m release clause on the Frenchman's contract. Sevilla are likely to ask for a fee close to the figure.
