Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur learn asking price for German attacker
Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has acknowledged that a fee of around £34m could convince them to sell Jonas Hofmann.
The 28-year-old had an impressive 2020/21 campaign for the Bundesliga outfit, registering eight goals and 11 assists from 33 appearances.
He has another two years left on his contract, but there has been speculation that Chelsea and Tottenham are keeping tabs on him.
Speaking to Bild an Sonntag, Eberl has now hinted that Hofmann could be sold if an offer of around £34m is made in the next transfer window.
He said: "We live in a time when you can't rule anything out. We certainly don't want to sell Jonas, but if at some point a club is offering €40m for Jonas, we can't say we're not interested."
Hofmann is currently with the Germany squad for the European Championships, and his future could be decided after the tournament.
He is fairly new to the national setup with just three caps to his name. He is most likely to be reduced to substitute appearances.
