Arsenal set to sign Portuguese defender

Arsenal have reportedly won the race to sign Benfica defender Nuno Tavares this summer.
The Gunners recently opened negotiations with the Portuguese outfit, and they have now agreed on the transfer fee.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the north London club have finalised a transfer package of £8 million for the left-back.
They will pay an initial £6.8m for his services. Tavares has already agreed personal terms over a five-year contract.
The left-back is set to become the club's first signing of the transfer window, and there could be plenty of more arrivals.
The Gunners are reportedly on the verge of landing Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga for around £17m.
They are also in advanced negotiations with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign defender Ben White. He will cost them £50m.
White is currently on Euro 2020 duty with England, and his transfer could be finalised after his return from the tournament.
The club also plan to hold talks with Sheffield United for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
