Arsenal could miss out on Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar this summer, a report from L'Equipe claims.

The Gunners were strongly linked with the Frenchman last summer, but they were put off by the £55m asking price.

The France international is reportedly available for just £25m this time around with Lyon in a tough financial situation.

According to L'Equipe, the Gunners have revived their interest in the playmaker, but they face stiff competition from AC Milan.

Milan have qualified for the Champions League after seven years, and they reportedly have a significant advantage in the player's pursuit.

Aouar will make a decision on his future after returning to pre-season. Alongside Aouar, Moussa Dembele could also be sold.

Dembele spent the second half of the season on loan with Atletico Madrid, but he was largely on the sidelines with injuries.

Atletico did not take up the option to buy him. He could be available for around £30m when the transfer window reopens.
