United agree personal terms with Varane

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Raphael Varane ahead of his potential transfer from Real Madrid.

Varane has entered the final year of his contract, and Los Blancos have acknowledged that he is eyeing a new challenge.

United were recently allowed to negotiate personal terms, and ESPN claims that the club have reached an agreement with the player.

They are now expected to open negotiations with Los Blancos over the transfer fee which won't be a straightforward task.

The Madrid giants are looking for around £60m for the World Cup winner, but United are reluctant to meet the price tag.

They are likely to propose around £40m, and discussions could go down to the wire with Paris Saint-Germain also in the mix.

Les Parisiens have also been in contact with Varane's camp. They are aware that Varane would be open to returning to Ligue 1.

The club could reunite him with their new signing Sergio Ramos. The duo played the past decade together at Madrid.
