Arsenal star expected to join Serie A club next week

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka will reportedly make his long-awaited move to Roma next week.

The 28-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A outfit, and the club are close to landing him.

The Gunners value the Swiss at €20m, but Roma are optimistic of signing him for €15m plus €3m in add-ons.

According to Corriere dello Sport, they are in advanced talks for the 28-year-old, and a deal is expected soon.

The club travel to Portugal for a training camp next week, and Xhaka has been tipped to join his new teammates.

The Gunners have already landed a midfielder in Albert Sambi Lokonga.

They are eyeing another signing this summer in order to cover up for the departures of Dani Ceballos and Xhaka.

Ceballos spent the past two seasons on loan from Real Madrid, but the Gunners have no plans of re-signing him.

Arsenal recently cancelled their pre-season tour of the United States due to minor coronavirus cases in the squad.

They played a behind-doors friendly against Millwall today. They won 4-1.
