Romelu Lukaku undergoes first part of Chelsea medical
Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku is close to rejoining Chelsea after completing the first part of his medical.
The Blues recently secured an agreement for the Belgian after agreeing to pay a club-record fee of around £98m.
Lukaku underwent the first part of his medical in Milan today, and he is due to travel to London for the remaining scans.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the striker could officially make his comeback to the Blues in the next 24 hours.
The 28-year-old will become their first major signing of the summer. He is expected to put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract.
Lukaku won't make his debut in the European Super Cup against Villarreal as he is only due to train following the encounter.
He could potentially start the Premier League opener against Crystal Palace. The game will be played in a packed Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are likely to focus on signing Jules Kounde after Lukaku's arrival.
