Chelsea confirm signing of Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan.
The Blues agreed to re-sign the Belgium international last week, and they have now made an official announcement.
The 28-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract, and he has returned to the club after seven seasons.
Lukaku hardly got the chance to impress between 2011 and 2014 where he was loaned out to West Brom and Everton.
He has now taken up a second opportunity with the Blues, who are among the favourites to compete for the title.
The west London giants paid the price for poor finishing in the Premier League last season, finishing only fourth in the standings.
They still ended the campaign brilliantly with Champions League glory and added another Super Cup to their cabinet last night.
They start their new league campaign against Crystal Palace on Saturday. Lukaku is unlikely to feature in the London derby.
The Blues may have announced Lukaku's arrival, but the Belgian still needs to quarantine until Monday before reporting for training.
