Arsenal identify their top two attacking targets
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing either Martin Odegaard or Houssem Aouar before the transfer deadline.
The Gunners are eyeing a new attacking midfielder, and it appears that Odegaard is the main priority for them.
According to The Athletic, the north London giants are awaiting Real Madrid's decision over the Norwegian's future.
Odegaard is unsettled at the Madrid giants, and there are suggestions that he could be sold for around €50 million.
In case they are unsuccessful in landing him, the club are likely to renew their interest in former transfer target Aouar.
Aouar has two years remaining on his Lyon contract. The Gunners failed with a €35m bid for his services last summer.
Back then, Lyon were asking for a staggering €60m. They are now willing to sell him for just €25m amid their financial issues.
Leicester City's James Maddison has also been linked with the Gunners, but The Athletic claims that there is no serious interest.
The intermediaries are trying to involve the north London club, but there has been no approach for the Englishman so far.
