Salah ready to sign a fresh deal at Liverpool

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah looks set to extend his stay at Anfield. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp today confirmed that the attacker will sign a new contract at the club.

Salah, who helped Liverpool to their first ever Premier League title two seasons ago, is said to be very happy with Klopp's side and is now on the verge of a fresh contract at the club, likely to extend his stay with his current team until 2025.

Real Madrid are amongst the potential suitors for Salah, but have been so far put off by the reported 150 million euro price tag.

The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal.

Klopp confirmed that talks were ongoing between club and player: “Two things: Mo is in a really good moment football-wise, mood-wise, how he behaves from the first day when he came back, absolutely great," said Klopp.

“So we are all adults, all professionals and when there are talks, there are talks and when there’s a decision we will tell you.

“Until then it’s unimportant how the parties work together in these things. We don’t have to talk about people in the background.

“With two years left you can imagine that there are talks, that’s it.”
