Haaland wanted by Man United next summer

Manchester United will prioritise a move for Erling Braut Haaland during next summer's transfer window.

The Red Devils were not eyeing a new striker this summer, but they could not turn down the chance to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is back with the club after 12 years away. Despite being 36, he will guarantee them plenty of goals this season.

According to ESPN, the Mancunian giants will look to strengthen their strike force next summer with a move for Haaland.

Haaland has been hugely impressive for Borussia Dortmund, netting 64 goals from just 63 appearances in all competitions.

He was fancied to join Chelsea earlier in the summer, but the Blues were put off by the staggering €175 million fee demand.

He will be available for significantly less next summer. A release clause worth €75m will become active in June next year.

United are likely to prioritise a move for the Norwegian. Edinson Cavani is expected to leave for free at the end of the season.
