Rudiger flattered by Bayern interest but committed to Chelsea

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has said that he has been flattered by the transfer interest from Bayern Munich.

The centre-back has entered the last nine months of his Blues deal, and he can negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club in January.

Bayern are among the clubs interested in landing his services, and Rudiger feels honoured by the transfer links with the Munich giants.

However, he added that he is focused on doing well for the Blues, and hinted that he would like to continue at the west London club.

He told Goal.com: "Of course [Bayern's interest] honours me and proves that I've been doing things right. But I don't let myself be distracted."

"I have an obligation to my club to perform well. I have to prove myself every game. I feel good where I am [at Chelsea]."

Rudiger is on wages of around £130,000-a-week. He is eyeing an increment of £70,000 weekly to put pen-to-paper on a new deal.

The Blues' hierarchy have refused to meet his demands which have stalled negotiations. Fresh talks are planned in the coming weeks.

Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also in the mix to land the Germany international for free next summer.
