Manchester City star crazy about joining Barcelona in January

Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling is determined to join Barcelona when the transfer window reopens.

The 26-year-old has made just two Premier League starts this term amid the fierce competition for places.

There is speculation that he could leave City in January, and the Blaugrana seem favourites to sign him.

According to Sport, the Catalan giants were keen on landing him on loan this summer, but talks broke down.

City were unable to sign a new striker in the recent transfer window that contributed to them keeping Sterling.

They may resolve the situation in the New Year. City are reportedly looking into a deal for Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic.

This could pave the way for the departure of Sterling. The Blaugrana are likely to propose a loan deal with a buy option.

The Catalan giants are permitted to spend just €25 million by La Liga this winter amid their excessive wage budget.

Aside from Sterling, they have also been linked with a cut-price move for Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.
