Manchester United in contract talks with Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United continue to remain in talks with Bruno Fernandes over a new improved deal, Fabrizio Romano claims.

The Portuguese has been a revelation for the Red Devils since arriving from Sporting during the 2020 winter transfer window.

He has bagged a stunning tally of 40 goals and 28 assists from only 90 matches, and the hierarchy are keen to reward him.

His current contract does not expire until June 2025. The Mancunian giants have the option of extending his stay for another year.

Despite the extended length of his deal, the board believe he is worthy of a new contract that could earn him up to £300,000-a-week.

So far, there are only negotiations taking place with his agents. It could take some time with the midfielder eyeing more added bonuses.

Aside from Fernandes, fresh talks are being planned with Paul Pogba whose contract expires at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Pogba has the desire to stay with the club, and there is optimism that a new deal could be finalised before the turn of the year.
