Aaron Ramsey on Newcastle United's radar

Newcastle United have reportedly been linked with a move for former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Welshman is currently in his third season with Juventus. He is already deemed surplus to requirements at the Turin outfit.

Ramsey was linked with a Premier League return over the summer, but he rejected the advances to fight for his future under Max Allegri.

He has since hardly played for the club across all competitions with just 108 minutes. It is claimed that he may seek a winter exit.

The 30-year-old is open to a potential return to the English top-flight, and it is claimed that the Magpies could be favourites to sign him.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton and Crystal Palace are also keen, but the Magpies now have the financial power to lure him.

Ramsey currently earns around £120,000-a-week at the Bianconeri after tax. The Magpies would be prepared to meet his current salary.

Newcastle are expected to spend on several high-profile players next year after their recent takeover by a Saudi-based consortium.
