Juventus are planning to open negotiations with Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger in January, Calciomercato claims.

The German has stalled over a new Blues contract, and he could leave on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with him, and it appears that Juventus have joined the race.

The Bianconeri are reportedly planning for the future with captain Giorgio Chiellini coming to the end of his playing career.

Rudiger has been identified as the ideal profile to replace him with his vast experience. They may propose a pre-contract in January.

The 28-year-old has entered his fifth campaign with the Blues, and he has been an almost ever-present figure under manager Thomas Tuchel.

He is eyeing £200,000-a-week to pen a new deal, but the hierarchy are adamant that they won't offer more than £150,000-a-week.

As things stand, he seems destined to pursue a new challenge next summer.
