Arsenal interested in signing Manchester City attacker

Raheem Sterling news

Sterling wanted by Arsenal?

Arsenal are reportedly in contention to sign Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling next year.

The England international has started the last three games for the Cityzens, but he is not an assured starter when everyone is fit.

Hence, he is assessing his options, and there is speculation that he could leave the Mancunian giants in either January or next summer.

According to Transfer Window Podcast, Sterling would welcome a move to the Gunners next year as he would relish a return to London.

Sterling spent his early youth career at Queens Park Rangers, but left them at the age of 16 to join Liverpool, where he made his breakthrough.

The Gunners would ideally prefer to sign the England international on loan this winter with an option to buy at the end of the campaign.

City are likely to block any proposals. They could wait until next summer to part ways with Sterling. The forward's deal expires in June 2023.
