Arsenal ready to pay big for Serie A striker

Arsenal are prepared to pay £68m to land Dusan Vlahovic next month, a report from Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

The striker has been in superb form in the current calendar year, bagging 33 goals in the Italian top-flight.

His progress has caught the eye of numerous elite clubs including the Gunners, who are weighing up a January offer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the north London giants are ready to pay £68m for the Fiorentina man.

However, they are set to face disappointment with La Viola willing to keep him for the rest of the campaign.

Vlahovic is also prepared to stay with the Florence outfit until next summer to help them qualify for Europe.

The 21-year-old is widely expected to be sold by Fiorentina as he has rejected a new contract beyond June 2023.

Vlahovic wants Champions League football at his next club. The Gunners can't offer him that at the moment.

They will be hoping to finish in the top four of the Premier League to boost their prospects of landing his services.
