Serie A midfielder keen on joining Arsenal this month

Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo is open to joining Arsenal during the ongoing transfer window, Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

The Brazilian has struggled for regular game time with the Bianconeri this term. He has been limited to just three Serie A starts.

As a result, he has been linked with a mid-season departure, and it was recently claimed that the Gunners are eyeing a loan deal for him.

It is now reported that Sevilla are also interested in Arthur, but the midfielder has the preference to play for the Gunners over them.

The former Barcelona man is eyeing regular first-team football as he looks to boost his World Cup selection prospects with Brazil.

The Gunners hierarchy have discussed a potential deal for him, but they have yet to make a formal approach to the Turin giants.

Arthur does not appear the prime target as of now. The midfielder is superb with his distribution, but does struggle with his tackling.
