Arsenal face Newcastle competition for Ligue 1 striker

Arsenal are set to face strong competition from Newcastle United in the race to sign Jonathan David.
The Gunners could have a busy summer transfer window where they could sign more than one striker.
The club have been keeping a close eye on David, but The Mirror reports that they are not the only admirers.
Newcastle are willing to spend big after their Saudi-led takeover, and have their sights on landing David.
The Tyneside outfit were languishing in the drop zone in January, but have managed to turn their fortunes.
They are now outside of the bottom three, and will go on a spending spree if they secure their top-flight status.
David has had an impressive second season at Lille, bagging 16 goals from 34 appearances in all competitions.
Lille are open to sanctioning his sale this summer, but are unlikely to entertain bids less than £45 million.
David recently said that he is tempted by a move to the Premier League. Chelsea and Tottenham are also keeping tabs.
