Arsenal midfielder tipped for Serie A transfer?
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has been touted to join AS Roma when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The Switzerland international was on the radar of the Serie A giants last summer, but they failed to negotiate a suitable fee with the Gunners.
Xhaka went on to sign a new deal until June 2024 with an option for another 12 months. Despite this, there is still speculation over his future.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the midfielder's future with the Gunners is 'not so obvious' and he could leave at the end of the season.
Roma are likely to try again for his services and it is claimed that they could make an improved offer during the next transfer window.
Xhaka is currently a guaranteed starter when available, and may not entertain the prospect of dropping down to the bench next season.
The Gunners are lining up a move for a quality central midfielder. They have been linked with Ruben Neves and Arthur Melo in recent weeks
