Man Utd quoted price for Serie A midfield star

Manchester United may need to pay around €60m to land Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

The Serbian has been with the Serie A outfit for nearly seven seasons, but he is now prepared to pursue a bigger challenge.

Lazio are likewise ready to sell him, considering he has no plans of renewing his contract which expires in June 2024.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, United and Paris Saint-Germain are currently the front-runners to sign the midfielder.

Lazio were eyeing at least €70m for Milinkovic-Savic last year, but they are now willing to accept a lesser fee of €60m.

Both United and Paris Saint-Germain are long-term admirers, but the latter could have an advantage in the pursuit.

Milinkovic-Savic wants the assurance of Champions League football. United are currently lying sixth in their league.

The Red Devils will need to break into the top four before the end of the campaign to secure a Champions League spot.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the 27-year-old would prefer a move to Paris over Manchester due to weather conditions.
