Arsenal enter race to sign Real Madrid attacker

Asensio to Arsenal?

Arsenal have reportedly joined Liverpool and Juventus in the race to sign Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio.

The Spaniard has been a key player for the Madrid giants over the years, but he is assessing his options ahead of the summer.

He has 15 months remaining on his existing deal, and Sport claims that he is not convinced to put an extension with the club.

Madrid are currently closing in on a deal for Kylian Mbappe while they have also been touted to land Erling Braut Haaland.

Amidst this, Asensio is concerned over his playing time, considering he has already been in and out of the starting line-up.

This could pave the way for his summer departure. The Gunners are one of the clubs that are most interested in signing him.

Asensio, who has netted 10 goals for Madrid this term, could be available for a fee of around £30m during the next transfer window.

Madrid are keen on keeping hold of him, but Asensio may move on this summer rather than settling for a fringe role at the club.
