Man Utd make Marcus Rashford transfer decision

Marcus Rashford news

Man Utd won't offload Rashford this summer

Manchester United have no plans of parting ways with Marcus Rashford when the transfer window reopens this summer.

The England star has endured a tough 2021/22 campaign with the Red Devils, netting just five goals across all competitions.

He has also struggled to nail down a regular starting role. This has led to speculation that he may consider a fresh challenge.

Amidst this, The Telegraph reports that the Red Devils don't envisage the prospect of losing Rashford during the summer.

The 24-year-old is currently contracted until June 2023, but the hierarchy have the option of extending his stay for 12 months.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the club plan to open talks over a new long-term deal in due course to highlight his importance.

They recently committed Bruno Fernandes to a contract until June 2026. The priority could now be given to Luke Shaw and Rashford.

Both players have experienced average seasons in the Premier League, but the board are still prepared to back them with renewals.
