Man Utd face fierce competition for Spanish centre-back
Manchester United are set to face competition from Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid in the pursuit of Pau Torres.
The Spaniard was heavily linked with the Red Devils last summer before they decided to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.
It appeared that their defensive woes would be sorted with Varane's arrival, but that has hardly been the case this campaign.
The Frenchman has struggled with regular niggles, and has failed to nail down a regular starting role over the season.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire's form has been poor while Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly have also struggled for consistency.
With Bailly potentially leaving this summer, the Red Devils are back in the hunt for Torres, but are set to face stiff competition.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also firm admirers of the centre-back, who could cost around £50 million.
The trio are on course to qualify for the Champions League unlike United. This could be a huge blow for the Mancunian giants.
