Manchester United are reportedly planning to negotiate a part-exchange deal for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine was heavily linked with a Premier League move last summer, but ended up staying with Romelu Lukaku heading for the exit door.

This has not ended speculation over his future and journalist Marco Barzaghi claims that the Red Devils could make a transfer approach this summer.

The Nerazzurri value Martinez at around £63m, but United are hoping to land him for around £42m. They are willing to include Martial as a makeweight.

It is unclear whether the Serie A champions will entertain the offer. Martial has been a long-term target of theirs, but has been far from his best lately.

The Frenchman was once compared with Thierry Henry, but has suffered a big dip in his performances and was recently loaned out to Sevilla.

His loan stint has been unsuccessful with just one goal and one assist from 11 games. It won't be a surprise if Inter swiftly reject the proposal.
