Arsenal lining up move for Spanish midfielder?

Arsenal could reportedly enter the race to sign Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz during this summer's transfer window.

The Spaniard has been touted to leave Naples for the past few years, and he could make the switch this summer.

Barcelona are long-term admirers of him, but Marca claims that the Gunners could also be in the mix for his services.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is likely to sign a new midfielder with strong technical ability. Ruiz would be an ideal fit.

The Spaniard is brilliant with his distribution, and has completed over 90 per cent of his passes in the current season.

He is also effective defensively with 1.7 tackles per game. Besides this, he has made 12 goal contributions for Napoli.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners make an approach for his services in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Napoli are likely to accept offers of around €35m with the midfielder's contract expiring in just over 13 months.
