Arsenal exploring deal for 27-year-old Premier League star

Raheem Sterling news

Arsenal to swoop for Sterling?

Arsenal are reportedly exploring the option of signing Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling this summer.

The England star has bagged 16 goals and seven assists for the Cityzens this season despite being in-and-out of the starting line-up.

Ahead of the summer, there is plenty of speculation over his future, and The Telegraph claim that the Gunners are lining up a bid.

The 27-year-old's current deal with the Cityzens expires in the summer of 2023, and could be sold if he has no plans of penning a renewal.

A number of elite European clubs will be interested, but the Gunners are hoping to lure him with the chance of staying in England.

Their prospects are slim at the moment, but could be boosted significantly if they manage to qualify for the Champions League.

The Gunners are presently fourth in the league standings, four points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur with three matches remaining.

They are scheduled to face Spurs away from home on Thursday night, and a victory would ensure Champions League qualification.
