Arsenal submit formal €50m bid for Brazilian forward

Arsenal have submitted a formal bid worth €50m for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, Goal Brazil claims.
The Gunners are expected to strengthen their frontline this summer, and they have identified Jesus as the prime target.
Talks have already been held with his agent, as confirmed yesterday and they have now made an official bid for him.
Jesus has been in fine form for the Cityzens this term, bagging 13 goals and 12 assists from 39 appearances in all competitions.
He is open to the prospect of joining the Gunners this summer, but this could largely depend on them qualifying for the Champions league.
They are currently just one point ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and will need to beat Newcastle United and Everton to seal it.
Until that does not happen, there may not be much progress in the deal. Meanwhile, the Gunners are also keen on landing Youri Tielemans.
The Belgian has entered the final year of his contract at Leicester City. The Foxes are willing to sanction his sale for around €40 million.
